Exceptional non-triggers in Bijagó
نویسنده
چکیده
In Bijagó (Wilson 2000), an asymmetrical vowel system contributes to irregular patterns of vowel harmony that seem to challenge the classificatory powers of some lexical indexation models of exceptionality (e.g. Finley 2009, 2010). In this paper, I develop a set of theoretically-independent exceptionality criteria, which when applied to an analysis of Bijagó reveal that a set of exceptional undergoers of ATR harmony suggested in Finley 2010 are in fact entirely regular. These criteria also reveal that a set of exceptional non-triggers of ATR harmony are present in Bijagó, filling a previously-empty typological slot predicted by Finley's theory.

An Environment for Designing Exceptions in Workkows ?
When designing a WorkFlow schema, often exceptional situations , such as abnormal termination or suspension of task execution, have to be dealt with by the designer explicitly, as well as operations which typically occur at the beginning and termination of tasks. This paper shows how the designer can be supported by tools allowing him to capture exceptional behavior within a WF schema by reusin...
متن کاملForecast accuracy measures for exception reporting using receiver operating characteristic curves
The exception principle of management reporting suggests that, under ordinary conditions, operational staff persons make decisions, but that the same staff refer decisions to upper-level managers under exceptional conditions. Forecasts of large changes or extreme values in product or service demand are potential triggers for such reporting. Seasonality estimates in univariate forecast models an...

متن کاملDoxorubicin and Doxorubicin-loaded Nanoliposome Triggers Hepatocyte Cells Senescence through Accumulation of Inflammatory Factors and Activation of P53
Background and purpose: Induction of cellular senescence is indicative of new strategy to prevent abnormal proliferation of cancer cells. Doxorubicin (DOX) is gaining attention for its neoplasia suppressive and inhibitory properties, but its clinical utility is limited due to irreversible effects on non-target cells/tissues. In this way, nanoliposomal structures were developed in drug delivery ...
